Observe the Following before and during a Journey
Pay attention to the following tips to ensure the safety of all vehicle occupants and other road users:
Make sure that the exterior lighting and turn signals are working properly. Make sure that the tyre pressure corresponds to the vehicle load. Make sure that luggage and loads are correctly stowed for transport. Make sure that sufficient washer fluid is filled in the window washer system. Ensure that you have a good, clear view through all of the windows. Ensure that the air intake to the electric drive is not obstructed, and that the electric drive is not covered by blankets or insulating materials. Stow all objects, luggage and loads in the stowage compartments or secure them in the luggage compartment. Make sure that the pedals can be operated without any hindrance at all times. Wear shoes that provide good grip for your feet when using the pedals. Make sure that the floor mat in the footwell on the driver side leaves the pedal area free and is securely fastened. Transport children safely by securing them in a child restraint system suitable for their weight and size. Secure animals in the vehicle using a system that is suitable for their weight and size. Adjust the front seats, rear seats, head restraints, steering wheel and mirrors correctly in accordance with the size of the occupants. Assume a correct sitting position before setting off and maintain this position while driving. This applies to all vehicle occupants. Fasten your seat belt correctly before setting off and keep it properly fastened throughout the journey. This applies to all vehicle occupants. Each vehicle occupant must sit in a seat of their own and must have their own seat belt. Never drive if your driving ability is impaired, e.g. by medication, alcohol or drugs.
