Manually Closing the Front Passenger Door and Rear Door
In the front edge of the rear right- hand door: manually locking the vehicle with the emergency value
When the central locking fails, the front passenger door and the rear doors can be locked manually.
- Open the door.
- Insert the emergency value into the vertical recess and turn the left door clockwise to lock the door and the right door counterclockwise to lock the door.
- Close the doors and check that they are locked.
- Have the vehicle inspected immediately by an appropriately qualified franchised service station. Volkswagen recommends an ID. UNYX Service Center.
Manually locked doors will unlock again by unlocking the vehicle or opening the corresponding door from the inside.
The doors can be unlocked and opened from inside the vehicle by pulling the door opener handle.

- Lever off the cap with the vehicle value in the direction of the arrow.
- Insert the value bit into the lock cylinder.
- Turn the emergency value clockwise to lock the vehicle.
- Turn the emergency value anticlockwise to unlock the vehicle.
- Pull the driver door handle to open the door.
- Fit the cap again.
Characteristics of Manual Unlocking
When manually locking, typically all doors will be locked. Whereas during manual unlocking, only the driver's door will be unlocked.
