Driving Out of a Parking Space

Infotainment system: procedure for driving out of a parking space

① Vehicle in a parallel parking space.

② Start to drive the vehicle out of the parking space.

  1. Switch on start button.
  2. Press and hold the brake pedal.
  3. Activate Park Assist.
  4. Use the turn signal lever to select the direction (left or right) in which you would like to drive out of the parking space.
  5. Tap "Start" on the infotainment system screen. The vehicle will automatically adjust steering angle and position to facilitate straight exit from the parking space.
  6. Observe the infotainment system displays. A text message on the infotainment system and an acoustic signal indicates that the manoeuvre for driving out of the parking space has been completed. Control of the vehicle is transferred back to the driver in the neutral position N.
  7. Take control of the vehicle and drive all the way out of the parking space in the direction of travel.

WARNING

When driving out of the parking space, please be aware of your surroundings. Ignoring nearby vehicles and pedestrians could lead to accidents, serious injuries, or fatalities.

  • Drive the vehicle out of the parking space only when permitted by the traffic situation.

WARNING

Park Assist does not support exiting from vertical parking spaces as obstacles in traffic cannot be fully detected. There is a risk of accidents and serious injuries.

  • Drive from the vertical parking space on your own and observe the traffic conditions.
