What to Do in the Event of an Accident or a Fire
Checklist After an Accident
To ensure your own safety and that of your passengers in an accident, observe the following actions in the specified order:
- Deactivate the vehicle's drive system.
- Switch on the hazard warning lights.
- Place the warning triangle in position to draw the attention of other road users to your vehicle.
- If necessary, remove all persons from the hazard area and provide first aid.
- Report the accident to the fire service. Inform the fire service that the vehicle in question is an electric vehicle.
- Wait for the emergency services at the scene of the accident.
- Inform the emergency services and the persons involved at the scene of the accident that it is an electric vehicle.

- Do not stay in the vicinity of a burning vehicles.

In the event of a fire, an explosion and leaking hazardous substances can cause serious injuries.
Never stay in the vicinity of a burning vehicle.
If the system detects that an accident has happened, the high- voltage battery is automatically deactivated.
When the high- voltage battery is deactivated, seek expert assistance to have the high- voltage battery serviced.
