# Functions of Pre-collision Safety System
# Basic function
When the driver or front passenger is wearing a seat belt, the system will tighten the seat belt based on driving time and speed when the vehicle starts, thereby adjusting the slackness of the seat belt.
In emergency situations, such as emergency braking, insufficient steering, excessive steering, or minor collisions, the following functions may be triggered individually or simultaneously:
Active seat belt pre- tensioning with the driver and front passenger wearing seat belts. Depending on the equipment, the side windows automatically close automatically until a gap is left. Activation of hazard warning lights.
Depending on the dangerous driving situation, the driver and front passenger seat belts can be tightened individually or simultaneously.
# Additional functions for vehicles with Front Assist
In vehicles equipped with Front Assist, the system also calculates the possibility of a rear- end collision with the vehicle in front within the system's limitations. When the system identifies a potential collision or an emergency braking, it triggers the Pre- collision Safety System.
# Additional functions for vehicles with Emergency Assist
In vehicles equipped with Emergency Assist, the Pre- collision Safety System may be triggered when it detects that the driver is unresponsive.
Depending on the activation stage, the following functions will be triggered:
Active seat belt pre- tensioning with the driver wearing a seat belt. Depending on the equipment, the side windows automatically close automatically until a gap is left.
# Settings in driving mode selection
For vehicles with driving mode selection, the Pre- collision Safety System has been adjusted according to the specific vehicle tuning for each driving mode.
