Download timingYour vehicle will automatically download software updates without prior notification, and this can also happen while driving. If the download is complete, you will be prompted that the OTA is about to take place.

Download duration depends on network quality, amount of data and type of OTA. The download process may be interrupted. It may be necessary to turn on the start switch to continue the download.
Prerequisites for software installation
To download the OTA and install related software, the following prerequisites must be met:
The vehicle must be in a country where OTA is available. There must be a primary user, and it may be necessary to log in as the primary user. The vehicle must be in an area with sufficient network signal reception. Permissions for sending and receiving data and information must be enabled. The 12\mathrm{V} car battery must have sufficient charge. The vehicle's high- voltage battery must have sufficient remaining charge. Other prerequisites displayed in the infotainment system must be met. The vehicle has been safely parked. The vehicle has installed the OTA previously provided.
Performing software installation for OTA
Performing software installation for OTASelect a time for the OTA when neither you nor other users will be using the vehicle. The control unit is deactivated and does not operate during software installation.
WARNING
The control unit is turned off or does not work during the software installation. Driving the vehicle while the control unit is turned off or does not work could result in an accident or death.
Perform software installation without disturbing other traffic participants. Do not use the vehicle during software installation.
- Exit the driving readiness state and activate the electronic parking brake.
- Close the front bonnet, trunk lid, all doors and windows.
- Confirm the execution of the software installation in the infotainment system.
- Note that all vehicle occupants have exited the vehicle and there are no pets in the vehicle.
- Take the vehicle values with you and exit the vehicle.
- Lock the vehicle.
Functional limitations during software installation
During software installation, the control unit, central computer, functions and displays are not available. During this period, do not use the vehicle and do not operate the infotainment system.
- The system prevents activation of the driving readiness state.- It is not possible to charge the high-voltage battery.- Diagnostic interface deactivated.
After installing software
After installing the software and before activating the driving readiness state, read the information in the infotainment system or the instrument cluster about the completion of the software installation. The vehicle will display the status of OTA.
- After successful installation of the software, driving readiness state can be activated.
