When the central locking fails, the front passenger door and the rear doors can be locked manually.
1. Open the door.
2. Insert the emergency value into the vertical recess and turn the left door clockwise to lock the door and the right door counterclockwise to lock the door.
3. Close the doors and check that they are locked.
4. Have the vehicle inspected immediately by an appropriately qualified franchised service station. Volkswagen recommends an ID. UNYX Service Center.
Manually locked doors will unlock again by unlocking the vehicle or opening the corresponding door from the inside.
The doors can be unlocked and opened from inside the vehicle by pulling the door opener handle.
