# Limitations of Pre-collision Safety System

The availability of the Pre- collision Safety System depends on the vehicle configuration.

The Pre- collision Safety System may not be available or may be limited in use under the following situations:

- Malfunction in the Electronic Stability Control (ESC), active seat belt, or airbag control unit.- The Anti-spin Regulation (ASR) is deactivated, or ESC is limited.- There is a system malfunction or limitation with the Front Assist distance monitoring system.- There is a system malfunction or limitation with the Emergency Assist system.- The vehicle is in reverse gear.- For reflective objects such as highway guardrails, tunnel entrances, heavy rain, or icy conditions.- For animals or objects that are difficult to recognize.
