# Place the Wipers in the Maintenance Position
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
The wiper arms can be lifted off the front windshield when in the maintenance position.
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|

||
|
|
# Activate the maintenance position via the wiper lever:
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
1. Close the front hood, driver's door, and front passenger's door.
|
||
|
|
2. Turn the ignition switch on and then off.
|
||
|
|
3. Briefly press the switch on the wiper lever towards the "flick wipe" direction.
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
# Activate the maintenance position via the exit menu:
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
The wiper's maintenance position can also be activated for a period after entering the exit menu.
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
# Lifting the Wiper Arms Off the Front Windshield:
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
1. Position the wiper arms in the maintenance position before lifting.
|
||
|
|
2. Grasp the wiper arms and then lift them off.
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
# Returning the Wiper Arms to the Front Windshield
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
1. Hold the wiper arms and carefully place them back onto the front windshield.
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
2. Turn the ignition switch on, briefly press the switch on the wiper lever towards the "flick wipe" direction to return the wiper arms to their original position.

||
|
|
Improper lifting and lowering of the wiper arms can cause damage to the front hood, the front windshield, and the wiper arms themselves.
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
- Only lift the wiper arms when they are in the maintenance position.
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
- Always ensure the wiper arms are placed back on the front windshield before starting to drive.
|
