# Boot Lid with Easy Open
|
||

||

|
The boot lid can be unlocked and opened with a foot movement if there is a valid vehicle value within the operating range of the boot lid.
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
1. Stand centrally behind the bumper.
|
||
|
|
2. Move your foot and shin quickly towards the bumper.
|
||
|
|
3. Quickly move your foot and shin away from the bumper.
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
Visual feedback is provided via the turn signals. The boot lid opens.
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
# Activating or deactivating Easy Open
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
Easy Open can be activated and deactivated in the Infotainment system:
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
1. Tap $\rightarrow$ Vehicle $\rightarrow$ Exterior $\rightarrow$ Easy Open.
|
||
|
|
2. Tap the button to activate or deactivate the function.
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
If Easy Open is activated, Easy Close is also active.
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
The Easy Open function is available only when Keyless Access is activated.
|
||
|
|
|

# CAUTION
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
If a valid vehicle value is located close to the boot lid, the Easy Open function can sometimes be operated accidentally, causing the boot lid to open, e.g. when sweeping underneath the rear bumper, if a powerful jet of water or steam is directed at the bumper, or if maintenance and repair work is carried out in the area around the rear bumper. If the boot lid is opened by mistake it can cause damage to anyone in the path of the boot lid and material damage.

Always make sure that there are no valid vehicle values left unattended in the operating range of the boot lid. Always switch off the Easy Open function via the Infotainment system before any maintenance or repair work is carried out.
