Securing a Child Seat Using the Seat BeltIf a child seat with a "universal" licence (u) is to be used in your vehicle, make sure that it is licensed for use in the appropriate seat. The necessary information on the child seat is provided by the child seat manufacturer. Please use the table below to find out how to install it.

Securing a Child Seat Using the Seat Belt1. Observe the instructions.2. Fasten the seat belt and guide it through the child seat as described in the child seat manufacturer's instructions.3. Ensure that the seat belt is not twisted.4. Insert the latch plate into the buckle for the appropriate seat and push it down until it audibly engages.

Child seats with the "semi- universal" license category, which are fitted by means of a seat belt and support foot, must not be installed on the center seat of the rear bench seat.
