# Navigation Data

The Infotainment system has an internal navigation data memory. The required navigation data is already preinstalled.
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
In order to carry out route guidance correctly and make full use of the functions offered, the Infotainment system always requires up- to- date navigation data.
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|

If using outdated data, navigation may be affected. It could lead to uncertainty regarding the current route or navigating to incorrect destinations.-
|
||

||

Always keep navigation data up to date.

||

# Updating navigation data online
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
Navigation data for frequently driven areas is automatically updated in the background when the start switch is on, an Internet connection is available and the country- dependent privacy settings are in effect.

||
|
|
|
||
|

1. Turn on the start button.

||

2. Check the internet connection.
|
||
|
|
|
||
|

Navigation data for frequently traveled areas is automatically updated in the background.
