# Electronic Immobiliser

|
The immobiliser helps to prevent the vehicle's drive system from being activated and driven with an unauthorised vehicle value.
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
In vehicles with starter button: There is a chip in the vehicle value. This deactivates the immobiliser automatically when a valid vehicle value is located inside the vehicle.
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
In vehicles with starter button: The electronic immobiliser is activated automatically when there is no longer a valid vehicle value located inside the vehicle.
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
Thus the vehicle's drive system can be activated only when a Volkswagen Genuine Vehicle Key with the correct code is used. Coded vehicle values are available from an ID. UNYX Service Center.

|
|
The vehicle cannot be operated properly if you do not have a genuine Volkswagen value.
